Top 5 Social Apps Performance on Android in Saudi Arabia, Q3 2023

Throughout the third quarter of 2023, the top five social apps on the Android platform in Saudi Arabia exhibited diverse trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides valuable insights into the performance of TikTok, Facebook, TikTok Lite - Save Data, Instagram, and Threads.

TikTok demonstrated a consistent rise in weekly revenue, starting from approximately $517K at the end of June and peaking at around $543K by the end of September. Weekly downloads, however, showed a declining trend, beginning with 171K in late June and dropping to about 79K by the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 8.7M and settling at 8.4M by the end of September.

Facebook saw a gradual increase in weekly revenue, beginning at $20K in late June and ending at about $31K in late September. Downloads were relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, ranging from 74K to 83K. Active users steadily increased from 7.1M to 7.4M through the quarter.

For TikTok Lite - Save Data, weekly downloads peaked mid-quarter with 115K in early September but ended with around 58K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a steady increase from approximately 668K to 717K over the same period.

Instagram experienced a varied revenue trend, starting at $588 and peaking at approximately $4.2K by the end of September. Downloads peaked at 71K in early July but decreased to about 51K by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a slight decline from 8.9M in late June to 8.7M in late September.

Lastly, Threads exhibited a steep decline in downloads from 450K in early July to about 14K by late September. Active users started strong at 387K but dropped to around 157K by the end of the quarter.
